WHY WORK HERE
A job where the standard is written down
Most cleaning work goes wrong the same way: nobody agreed what finished meant. We fix that before anyone picks up a cloth.
You know what finished looks like
Every property has a written checklist agreed before the first visit. You are never guessing what counts as done, and nobody moves the line afterwards.
You are not sent out alone to figure it out
Cleaning and property management are one team here. If something needs a trade, a decision or a landlord call, that is not your problem to solve on the doorstep.
Fully insured, properly run
The company carries full insurance on every job. Scope, schedule and changes are confirmed in writing, which protects you as much as the client.
ROLES
What we hire for
Tell us which fits you on the form. If more than one does, say so.
Residential cleaner
Homes on a recurring schedule, plus deep cleans and move-outs. You work to the checklist written for that property, not a generic one.
Turnover cleaner
Short-term rentals between guests. Tight windows, a fixed standard, and photos at handover so the work speaks for itself.
Commercial cleaner
Offices, retail and small facilities, usually before opening or after close.
Hours, pay and terms are discussed on the call, before anyone commits to anything.
WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY INVOLVES
No surprises on day one
Being straight about the work is the fastest way to find people who want it. A normal day looks like this.
- Travel between properties across the county, often several in a day.
- Work through a written checklist for each property, room by room.
- Physical work: on your feet, bending, reaching, carrying equipment.
- Handle keys, codes and lockboxes, and secure the property on the way out.
- Flag damage, breakages or anything that needs a trade, in writing.
- Some early mornings, evenings and weekends depending on the client.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Turning up. Reliability is most of this job.
- Noticing things. The difference between clean and properly clean is attention.
- Saying it. If something is wrong, we would rather hear it from you than from the client.
- Respect for the property. You are in someone's home.
- Willingness to learn the checklist. Experience helps, the standard is teachable.
APPLICATION
Apply to join the team
A few minutes. Be honest about your availability, it saves everyone a wasted call.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
1. A person reads it. Not a filter, not an autoresponder.
2. We call you. If it looks like a fit, we talk through the role, the area, the hours and the pay properly.
3. You decide. Nothing is agreed until you have heard the terms and said yes to them.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
Adams Cleaning and Property Management considers every applicant on their ability to do the job. We do not ask about anything that is not relevant to it.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Questions people ask
It helps, but the checklist and the training exist so the standard does not depend on how long someone has been doing this. Tell us honestly what you have done and we will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.
Rochester and Monroe County for most roles. Some work reaches the wider Greater Rochester area, and occasionally Buffalo or Watertown. We will be specific about your area before you accept anything.
For most jobs yes, because properties are spread across the county and schedules are back to back. Tell us your situation on the form rather than ruling yourself out.
It varies by role and by client. We run seven days a week including early mornings, evenings and emergency call-outs. Put your real availability on the form, including what you cannot do, because a schedule built on a guess falls apart in week two.
We read every application. If it looks like a fit we call you, talk it through, and explain the role and the terms properly before anyone commits to anything.
